FAMILIAR
An illustrated book of life sequences
The book focuses on mundane events of our everyday lives, and it intends to make the reader feel like they’ve found something familiar, something they can relate to.
These dispositions are represented using diverse illustrative methods focusing on the environment and light.
The goal was to project a re-emerging visual of memories and places and invite the readers to pause and re-experience them. The aim was to coexist with the viewer in the mutual ‘’currency of emotion’’.
‘‘I was filled with longing and
swiftly journey there,
Flying over the mists, as over
desires.
How far and how beloved you
are, my country.
The airport will tremble with
the droning,
The mists will hang in
suspense over the chasms.
Surely those who invented the
jet engine,
Must have been far from their
country once.’’
Ismail Kadare
